Weather report: Mud
I forgot that there is mud here. Rain soaked earth was frozen when we got back from Tucson, and the subsequent mild weather has thawed it. That makes mud. Carol said there would be mud. Mom threatened bodily harm if we tracked it into the house. Now that I mop the kitchen, laundry and "powder" room I can appreciate that.
As things are melding into a sort of family order for Wendy, John and the boys, I feel an itch to get out more in this world and see what is cooking. Emailed the choir leader at church to see if they could use another alto. Tomorrow, I'll see some of the first acquaintances I made here and maybe get a little lunch with them. There is some shopping to tend to as well.
Monday night dinner was a bucket of wings at Harleysville Hotel in, of course, Harleysville. John took us all out there. It has become a family favorite. They understand hot. Wednesday actually is bucket of wings night, and Monday is $3 cheese steak night. Both are outstanding so we had some of each.
There is a bike shop next to the hotel. I am coveting a bike. Maybe get one in the spring and get over to the Perkiomen Trail…bet there are some geo-caches around there, too.
